Spouse Program
BSA has made special plans for spouses planning to attend the 2009 Annual Convention
This 2009 schedule provides several functions designed with BSA spouses in mind:
Convention Functions for Spouses
1st and 2nd Year Attendees with Spouses Reception
Saturday May 2nd
5:30 - 6:30 pm, Presidential Suite
- 1st and 2nd year attendees and their spouse's are invited to a private reception in Mr. Durston's Presidential Suite for networking and socializing.
Spouse Breakfast
Monday May 4th
8:30 - 9:45 am, LaCoquina
Optional Spouse Breakfast (paid individually) at LaCoquina. Special tables will be available for BSA spouses and you can charge your breakfast right to your room. Afterward, spouses are encouraged to attend the BSA Business Session featuring Tom DeLuca's presentation, Theater of the Imagination at 10 am in the Grand Cypress Ballroom.

- Spouses are invited to the Business Session on Monday, May 4th. The program is about the power of suggestion and Your imagination. Tom DeLuca is recognized as the ultimate in hypnosis. He opens windows to the imagination like no one else in the world. Tom received his Masters Degree in Psychology, recently appeared on Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer, and was also profiled on Dateline NBC. He's had feature articles in People and Rolling Stone Magazines, as well as the front page of the The Wall Street Journal. This program is a lot of fun, and we encourage everyone to participate.

BSA's traditional golf and tennis events are scheduled for Sunday and Monday afternoons and offer the opportunity to meet with and enjoy other convention attendees as well as the outstanding sport facilities at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort.

Bearing Specialists of the Caribbean Reception & Dinner

Bearing Specialists of the Caribbean
Reception & Dinner offers the opportunity for informal socializing with new and old BSA friends. Volleyball, a climbing wall and canoes will be available to use. Dress is casual.
Lord and Lady Durston's Pub Night
Monday, May 4th
7:00 - 10:00 pm, Grand Cypress Ballroom
Lord and Lady Durston's Pub Night: Monday evening's Manufacturer Appreciation event and Sports Awards is an informal evening, just the right way to recover from an afternoon of golf or tours. Enjoy the food and atmosphere of a British pub.
British Invasion Dinner Dance

7:00 - 10:00 pm, Grand Cypress Ballroom
- Tuesday evening's British Invasion Dinner Dance gives everyone a chance to dress up in cocktail attire for the final BSA Annual Convention event and enjoy a sumptuous dinner and live dance music. Entertainment includes British Invasion (Beatles tribute band).


Dress
The BSA Convention Committee has planned a casual convention. A resort casual policy with regard to daytime meeting dress includes the following:
- Men - slacks, open neck, banded collar or polo shirts, sweaters, walking shorts, no ties/jackets.
- Women - slacks, skirts, blouses, sweaters, walking shorts, open neck banded collar or polo shirts.
Average temperatures in May are a high of 88ºF and a Low of 74ºF. Keep in mind that meeting rooms tend to be cooler than the outside temperature. A jacket or sweater may be necessary.

Child Care
The Hyatt does not operate a child care center but has provided a list of Preferred Sitters. Please call the companies directly to make sitter arrangements. Camp Hyatt provides half or full day activities for children on Saturdays and Sundays and can open other days during the convention with enough notice. Click here for information about the camp.
Salon/Spa
The Salon at Grand Cypress : Everything you need to rejuvenate your hair, body and soul can be done here. Relax with a Relaxation, Therapeutic or Aromatherapy Massage, or a revitalizing facial or body polish. Salon services also include haircuts, highlighting, waxing, facials, manicures and pedicures. Please make cancellations at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled appointment.
Theme Parks
- The hotel provides daily shuttle transportation to the Disney Theme Parks, Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and Sea World. Theme park tickets can be obtained through the concierge at the hotel or online:
- AAA Members receive discounts on admission to the major area theme parks. To qualify, you must purchase your tickets in advance online or by contacting your nearest AAA Branch office. Please call ahead to confirm availability.
