Golf Tournament

Monday, May 4, 2015 - Tee Time 12:15 p.m., please plan to arrive by 11:45 a.m.

The golf tournament held at The Golf Club of Amelia Island on Monday afternoon will follow an open-play, four-person scramble format. Tee time is 12:15 p.m. The registration fee of $200.00 includes golf, cart, box lunch, practice balls, tax and gratuity. Please include the fee and handicap for you and/or your spouse/companion on your Registration Form. The golf course is located on the property.

The Golf Club of Amelia Island is a sand wedge shot from the front door of the hotel and is one of the only golf resorts in Florida to offer both on-property golf and beach access, giving you the opportunity to work on your game while enjoying the salty sea air. The adjacent 18-hole championship golf course is an avid golfer’s dream. Designed by Mark McCumber and Gene Littler, this Amelia Island golf club’s breathtaking landscape is as beautiful as it is challenging. Meticulously maintained greens, strategically bunkered fairways and the ever-shifting ocean breeze ensure no two rounds are ever the same.

Dress Code:
All participates must adhere to the dress code policy.  Appropriate golf attire is required.  Collared shirts and shorts that are slightly above the knees are acceptable.  No denim or gym shorts, t-shirts, halter tops or bathing suits are allowed. Golf club shoe rental is not available but you may wear sneakers on the course.

Please indicate on your registration form if you would like golf club rentals for the tournament. Let us know your preference for right-hand or left-hand, men's or ladies, and we'll handle the rest. Golf club rental requests must be submitted on or before April 6th. Club rental fees are $65.00 for the golf tournament. Golf club shoe rental is not available but you may wear sneakers on the course.

Fishing Tournament

Fishing Chairman: Joel Jorgensen, Kaydon Bearings Division

The guides have been leading in-shore and off-shore fishing charters for years. Whether a beginner or seasoned angler, your guide will share our deep knowledge and experience. Each charter captain is dedicated to providing a safe, productive, and memorable day. We will offer both offshore fishing and inshore fishing.

Offshore Fishing will take you 10 miles offshore into the Atlantic Ocean fishing for Kingfish, Barracudas, Amberjacks, Tarpon, Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo and the occasional Billfish. ***SOLD OUT***

Inshore Fishing charters are in the backwaters surrounding the historical Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island area. On these guided fishing trips, you are usually fishing in two to three foot of calm water for redfish and spotted sea trout. Sight fishing for red fish is one of the most thrilling experiences a fisherman can enjoy. You can also catch a variety of other fish such as tarpon, flounder, sheep head, black drum and sharks in these same waters.***SOLD OUT***

Registration fee is $230.00 per person and includes transportation to the marina, USCG licensed captain, bait, tackle, licensing, fuel and drinks. A cooler with ice on board for anything you'd like to bring to eat.

A shuttle bus will take you to the Marina. Please meet the BSA staff in the hotel lobby at 12:00 p.m. One boat will take you up to 10 miles for off-shore fishing and the other boat will travel through the backwaters and stay in-shore. Please specify which you prefer on the registration form.

Things To Bring:
Guests should bring along a camera, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. The boat does have a cooler and ice for any food or drinks you would like to bring to this activity.

Light colored comfortable loose fitting clothing that breathes. Dress in layers to make it easy to adjust for changing temperature. Non-marking/Non-slip shoes are recommended.

Tennis Round Robin, All Levels Welcometennis

Sunday, May 3, 2015 - 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m., Please plan to arrive by 12:45 p.m.

Tennis Chairperson: Lynne Durston

The men’s and women’s Round Robin will be held Sunday afternoon on the hotel's tennis courts. The registration fee is $85.00 and includes refreshments. Please include your fee and indicate your level of play on the Registration Form. If you need to rent a racquet, please rent it at the The Ritz-Carlton Tennis Center. Racquets are $7.00 to rent. The tennis center is located within walking distance from the resort.
