Note to Manufacturers

Invitations to manufacturers are extended by BSA to specific individuals and are not transferable. A manufacturer service fee is required from each manufacturing company. Invoiced separately, this fee must be paid prior to convention registration.

Special Rules: It is a policy of BSA that no one shall schedule or conduct any event, function or private meeting that overlaps with or detracts from BSA programs, meetings or social functions other than tours.

Registration Instructions

  • Complete all appropriate forms, using only one form for yourself and your spouse/companion. Incomplete registration forms will NOT be processed. You must completely fill out all three pages of the form.
  • Please include your spouse's email address.
  • Fees must be paid in U.S. dollars, with no discounts given for attending only part of the meeting.
  • It is important that you indicate on the second page of the registration form all functions you and/or your spouse/companion will attend, including optional events. For those functions requiring a separate fee, please indicate the number of people attending and the subtotal amount enclosed for that function.
  • Special note for other family members attending: ALL attendees MUST have a meeting badge to be admitted to any meal event regardless of age. In order to prepare seating for all attendees and enable the hotel to provide adequate food and beverage, this will be strictly enforced.   • If using a registration form, it must be accompanied by payment and mailed to: BSA, 800 Roosevelt Road, Building C, Suite 312, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137; (630) 858-3838 or faxed to (630) 790-3095.
  • Full refunds cannot be guaranteed for cancellations received after March 27, 2018 for meeting registrations.

Policies

  • Taxes: All room rates are subject to local sales and occupancy taxes.
  • Room Upgrades: Please contact the hotel directly to book Deluxe King or Queen Rooms at $249.00 single/double or One Bedroom Suites at $389.00 single/double
  • Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your hotel room, please cancel your reservation within 48 hours of arrival or will forfeit one night's room and tax.
  • Reservation Deadline: Reservations received after March 27, 2018 will be confirmed on a space-available basis only and the hotel expects to be sold out over our dates, so rooms may not be available after 5:00 pm on March 27.

Spouses

Experienced convention attendees tell us that their spouse is a valuable asset in helping them build essential industry relationships. In many cases, the socializing among spouses at BSA networking and social events leads to additional personal contacts among convention attendees. BSA has planned a number of convention activities to include spouses/companions. All of the social and leisure events on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday include spouses and companions. If you have any questions, please contact alin@cmservices.com. We strive to ensure all of our Convention attendees, including spouses and companions, have the best possible experience at the BSA Convention!

Convention Functions for Spouses and Companions

All leisure activities have a minimum participation requirement and are subject to cancellation. If a cancellation occurs, attendees will be notified via email ahead of time.

Yoga Class for Spouses and Companions

Red Rock South Pool Area, please meet at the Pool Area by 7:45 am.

A balanced combination of sustained poses with attention to basic alignment and therapeutic principals. Mindfulness; observing breath and body (triputi) are an integral part of class. Bare feet, all levels. Registration fee is $30.00. The following items are recommended for all guests to bring: Footwear, Sunscreen, Clothing which allows flexible moment of the body, Light-weight jacket for warm-up and cool-down.

Zumba Class for Spouses and Companions

Veranda AB, 2nd Floor

This Zumba workout mixes body sculpting movements with dance steps derived from cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, hip hop, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso and Salsaton. The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms. It targets areas such as the glutes, legs, arms, abdominal, and the heart. Wear clothes and shoes that are easy to move in. All expereince levels, including beginners are encourage to attend. The Registration fee is $30.00 and includes instruction, water, and use of towels.

Join the BSA spouses for a relaxing poolside luncheon at Red Rock's luxurious spa. After lunch, book yourself a spa appointment from their list of services. BSA attendees receive a 20% discount on all Spa Services over the duration of the BSA Convention! Spa appointment arrangements and payment are on an individual basis. Registration for this event is $40.00.

El Segundo Sol Cooking Class

Meet in Hotel Lobby at 7:45 am

Do you have an obsession for ridiculously good Mexican fare and drinks? Today is your lucky day! Guests go behind-the-scenes at one of the city’s hottest restaurants, El Segundo Sol, where they get the inside scoop on how to cook legit Mexican food such as guacamole, chicken enchiladas and tres leches cakes ~ oooh la la! This “Cooking Fiesta” class is designed to help guests add some pizzazz to their next at-home fete. Chef Terry Lynch provides a simple how-to for some of El Segundo Sol’s signature menu items. As a parting gift, guests receive a recipe pamphlet featuring their hot new recipes to recreate at home. Registration for this event is $180.00 per person.

Dress

The BSA Convention Committee has planned a casual convention. A resort casual policy with regard to daytime meeting dress includes the following:

  • Men - slacks, open neck, banded collar or polo shirts, sweaters, walking shorts, no ties/jackets.
  • Women - slacks, skirts, blouses, sweaters, walking shorts, open neck banded collar or polo shirts.

Temperatures in May are a high of 83ºF during the day, a Low of 55ºF in the evenings. Keep in mind that meeting rooms tend to be cooler than the outside temperature. A jacket or sweater may be necessary. For more information on dress for specific evening events, please refer to those events.
